Smooth.

You never fail to impress. This is just so, well, uh..... Funky!

It barely even sounds computerized, especially the organ solo which was really catchy. I love how you can change the whole feel of the song very smoothly and it barely sounds like you changed anything but its alot different (did that make sense?) Oh well. Great job. I think you should try making some Neurofunk tracks. you'd be good at it.

:) Thanks Pez. I definitely had a lot of fun jammin' out the solo at the end. Didn't even -think- of quantizing it! :D For once!

Neurofunk, eh? Reading/listening up on it now. :) I tend to do d'n'b style tracks for work so I might just give this a stab. Will have to step up my drum game though! :)

Sounds like the bass is saying YEAH YEAH.

Well, really this track is fucking MASSIVE. I love it. It didnt take a while for it to catch my attention, as soon as the beat came in at 0:24 I was hooked, The way you distorted the drums with teh filtering and like OMG.

Whatev, Its sick, as hell.

mr-jazzman responds:

Hellyeah that bass is the bringer of DOOM! ;) I'm really glad this one caught your attention right off the bat, because I was afraid its artsiness might cause some people's heads to turn. You can thank my bro for suggesting the filtering on those drums too; him and I both love ourselves some Black Sun Empire, which is essentially what I wanted this track to embody. ;) Glad you loved it! =D

Nice.

I didn't even realize that the first one was based off Forever Young. this vesion is better than the first midnight rave but it could still use alot of tweaking. The drums seem really generic. Mastering needs work and the way you ended the song didn't fit well.

Overall its not bad at all just not something i would download.

Catstuffer responds:

I agree! I hate endings :S

The original was indeed based off of forever young. I was using a bunch of sounds that I created, so it was more difficult than say using Nexus.

Thanks for reviewing! I appreciate the feedback! :D

I'll be honest

You really just need to work on your instruments. The Melodies were good but they seemed jubmled in some parts And the synths seem almost 8bit

Overall its not bad, And it has alot of potential.

It just needs some work

Alright, I understand. your review is much appreciated ^^ cheers :3

I was waiting for a drop...

AND IT CAME! I was kinda afraid that the song would just drag on for 6 and a half minutes. I just want to say that the mastering is great (i suck at mastering tho lol) even though the song is not terribly huge. its still great, just not insanely amazing.

Its very catchy too

Mrmilkcarton responds:

My thoughts exactly :)

Which is why I didn't do much more with it.

Listened to the first 2 minutes then downloaded

I'll listen to the rest later, I know i'm going to like it

Exotec responds:

haha, thank you! i hope you enjoy the rest as well :)

Intro is waaaaaaaaaayyyy to long

But when the song does come in its pretty good. It gets pretty repetitive after that. I thing if you took everything you have going here and just shortend it to like 3 and a half minutes then it would be alot better.

The drums are good but badly mastered.

I gave you a 5/5 though cus you got Zero bombed

Base-Trinity responds:

thank you for the review

yes it twas repetitive, but hey 1st project on FLstudio. and at least you gave constuctive criticism so that is much apreciated
